Tracerod is an 80 meter fiberglass tube with a copper conductor inside. The fiberglass tube is pushed in and out through cable shafts, drains, drums or pipelines. The DA220 signal generator is then connected and a signal is created in the conductor which is located on the surface by one of the Leica cable locator models, such as the .eg Leica DD120. In this way, you can locate plastic pipes, sewer pipes, cable shafts and other non-metallic objects that normally do not give a result on a cable locator.
